Welcome to LJ Studio
LJ Studio is the dreamy, sunny, South Austin backyard studio where I illustrate and work with clay, teach hands-on workshops and private lessons, and host community events like seed swaps and open studio days.
We celebrated our grand opening in 2024, and since then I’ve had a ton of fun teaching and sharing the magic of playing with clay. I like a mindful approach with an emphasis on the process of making and diving into the sensory experience—the final product is a bonus!
Private Lessons

Workshops
Join us for engaging workshops designed to deepen your skills and connect with fellow artists. We offer a variety of themes and techniques throughout the year. When available, dates for each workshop will be posted with a sign up link.
Firing Services
At LJ Studio, we offer free firing for everything made here. For other ceramic pieces, our rates are:
Half Shelf: $15 • Half Kiln: $40 • Full Kiln : $65
We bisque fire at cone 04 and glaze fire at cone 5. Please ensure your clay body and glazes are compatible with these temperatures.
