Sgraffito Coasters Workshop
This workshop focuses on the surface decoration technique of sgraffito, which involves scratching or carving a painted surface to reveal the clay underneath. We will paint a set of 4 pre-made coasters with underglaze and carve our own designs. A wide variety of tools will be provided, or you may bring your own.
I will fire our coasters and add a cork sticker to the bottoms. They should be ready to pick up within a few weeks.
Wobble Pets Workshop
90 minutes of wobbly fun—sculpt up to 3 wobble pets and paint faces or designs on them. Pick them up a few weeks later after I fire them.

I will coat our cups in clear glaze and fire them. They should be ready to pick up within a few weeks.

6 Week Class—Handbuilding & Decoration
Let’s make some fun stuff together! I want to share the joy of working with clay with you in this beautiful studio. No experience needed, beginners are welcome! We are going to focus on 3 main projects, exploring 3 styles of handbuilding (pinch/rolling, slab, and coil) and 3 decoration techniques (ombre sgraffito, inlays, and slip trailing with glaze layering. Clay and tools will be provided. There are six spots available and we will meet from 6 to 9 on Thursday evenings. Students will also have 3 passes for 3-hour blocks of studio time to practice. Class dates: May 22, May 29, June 5, June 12, June 19, & June 26.
Mother’s Day Mugs Workshop
Give Mom a memorable experience AND a handmade mug! Our Mother’s Day Mugs workshop will be tons of fun—first I’ll demo sgraffito techniques (painting and carving), let you try it out on practice clay, then you and Mom (or Mom and her BFF!) will carve your own designs into matching pre-made mugs. Come spend time at our beautiful studio, find pattern and color inspiration in the gardens, and learn how calming and satisfying it can be to carve clay. We’ll have homemade bread and tea too! This is a beginner friendly workshop.
